NTG students tested their knowledge in the first banking accounting competition

On 5 March, the National Commercial High School – Plovdiv hosted its first-ever banking accounting competition. Students from Class 12.A and 12.G, who study the subject “Banking Accounting”, took part in it.

The competition was held in Classroom 29 and confronted the participants with real practical cases from banking practice. They were specially prepared for the students by the school’s partners from “ProCredit Bank Bulgaria” together with their teacher Nikolay Nikolov. During the competition, the students had to solve tasks related to preparing accounting entries according to the bank chart of accounts, drawing up a repayment schedule for a bank loan, and compiling a balance sheet after completed transactions. The participants demonstrated excellent preparation, logical thinking, and skills in working with real accounting cases. On 10 March, the winners of the competition were also awarded: 🥇 1st place – Alexa Karakevorkyan from Class 12.A 🥈 2nd place – Boryana Hristeva from Class 12.A 🥉 3rd place – Petar Chilev from Class 12.G A special prize was also awarded to the first 10 students with the highest results. On 26 March, they will visit the Bulgarian National Bank and other state institutions in Sofia. During the visit, the students will have the opportunity to become closely acquainted with the work of the institutions and their role in overseeing financial and accounting reporting in the banking and budgetary system. Congratulations to all participants for their достойно performance and the knowledge they demonstrated. The competition once again proved that NTG students possess solid preparation and confidence for future professional realization in the field of finance and banking accounting.
