The managerial role up close
Maya Varshilova from 11th grade, class B, spent a working day in the role of Head of “Operations” at the high-tech company „Latecoere Bulgaria“, part of an international manufacturer of aircraft components. She joined the initiative “Manager for a Day”, which gives students from across the country the opportunity to become familiar with the management process in a real business environment.
Her program included taking part in internal meetings, observing operational processes, and getting to know the management structure of a top-tier industrial company. Over the course of the day, Maya gained concrete insights into production organization, decision-making, and interaction between different units within the enterprise.
The company „Latecoere Bulgaria“ is a recognized partner of leading aircraft manufacturers, and its activities include the production of doors, fuselage elements, and other aviation structures. Working in such an environment requires precision, coordination, and strategic thinking—qualities that Maya explored up close.
The initiative was carried out with the involvement of Maya’s supervisor, Mrs. Vladka Marinova, and with the support of the team at „Latecoere Bulgaria“, who provided the student with access to an authentic work environment and a committed professional attitude.
