National Trade High School Hosts Education Innovation Event

NTG Plovdiv hosted a three-day event for exchange of best practices within the National Program "Innovations in Action" with participation of partner schools from across the country.

National Trade High School Hosts Education Innovation Event

From April 9 to 11, 2025, the National Trade High School in Plovdiv hosted an event for promoting and exchanging best practices within the National Program "Innovations in Action".

Participating partner schools included:

  • Professional State Trade High School "Dimitar Hadzhivasilev", Svishtov
  • Primary School "St. St. Cyril and Methodius", village of Dragoevo, Shumen region
  • United School "Brothers Miladinovi", village of Konarsko, Blagoevgrad region

The event began on April 9 with a ceremonial welcome of guests by Head Teacher Mrs. Nedka Milenova and Director Dr. Petya Gerasimova, who received gifts from the partner schools. This was followed by a presentation of the history and traditions of the 115-year-old high school.

On April 10, the program included:

  • Presentation of the innovative "Cybersecurity" subject by Head Teacher Maria Grozeva
  • Discussion on "Challenges in Innovative Schools" with the participation of Dilyana Nikolova and a representative from Skill Catalyst
  • Presence of experts from the Regional Education Office - Plovdiv
  • Cultural program with visits to the Roman Stadium, Ancient Theatre, and the Old Town of Plovdiv

On April 11, Mrs. Delyana Nikola conducted a "Biometric Data" workshop with participation of students from all schools.

The event successfully achieved its goals of exchanging best practices and strengthening partnership relations between schools. The importance of innovations in education, particularly in the field of cybersecurity, was emphasized.

The National Trade High School is officially recognized as an innovative school by Decision No. 507 of the Council of Ministers from July 18, 2024. The innovation "For a Safe and Secure Digital Environment Through Cybersecurity Education" includes the introduction of a new "Cybersecurity" subject for students in grades 9 and 10 in the "Economic Informatics" and "E-commerce" specialties.

The program will continue in the coming years with prospects for expanding cooperation and developing new initiatives.
