On February 24, 2026, court officials from the Appellate Court – Plovdiv and the Appellate Prosecutor's Office – Plovdiv held an open lesson for students from 8th to 11th grade from the "Judicial and Business Administration" classes at the National Trade High School in Plovdiv. The meeting took place within the framework of the Supreme Judicial Council's Educational Program "The Judiciary – Informed Choice and Civic Trust. Open Courts and Prosecutor's Offices". The judicial assistants from the Appellate Court – Plovdiv, Tsveta Tacheva and Viktor Chorbadzhiyski, and Rumyana Hristova, Head of the "Archive" Department at the Appellate Prosecutor's Office – Plovdiv, presented the topic "The Profession of Court Official" to their future colleagues. All three have many years of experience in judicial administration. They explained to the students the organization of work in the administration of courts and prosecutor's offices, document processing, introduced them to the ethical code of court officials, the functioning of case management systems, and more. The students asked questions about the practical aspects of the work. The lecture was attended by Nikolay Mitev, the school's principal, Iskra Koycheva, deputy principal, Stanimira Andonova, pedagogical counselor, and the class teachers. A guest at the open lesson was Eng. Lalka Obreykova, great-granddaughter and successor of Stephan Obreykov, founder of the Trade High School in 1910 and its benefactor. During the 2025/26 school year, the Educational Program "The Judiciary – Informed Choice and Civic Trust. Open Courts and Prosecutor's Offices" is carried out jointly between the Appellate Court – Plovdiv and the Appellate and District Prosecutor's Office – Plovdiv. This year, magistrates and court officials will deliver lectures in four schools in Plovdiv and in the town of Karlovo.
