In the spirit of modern vocational education and the pursuit of developing practical skills, students from the National Commercial High School – Plovdiv took part in an international mobility under the Erasmus+ programme, implemented under project number 2025-1-BG01-KA121-VET-000312650.
The internship took place during March and April 2026 in the Italian city of Reggio Emilia and became an invaluable experience for the participants. Twenty 11th-grade students from the specialties “Economic Informatics”, “E-commerce”, and “Judicial Administration” joined the mobility and had the opportunity to apply their knowledge in a real working environment and enhance their professional competences.
During their stay in Italy, the students actively took part in activities related to administrative work, document processing, and communication in a business environment. They developed skills in correctly reading, processing, and storing information, working with documents and administrative processes, effective communication in internal and external environments, and adaptation to real working conditions. Tasks in the field of digital marketing were also carried out, in which the students created advertising videos and developed a marketing pitch deck (a short, impactful presentation of a product or brand aimed at attracting clients and stimulating action). The students from the “Judicial Administration” specialty had the opportunity to work at the Tribunale di Reggio Emilia and gain insight into the organization of document processing in the Italian judicial system. The mobility provided an opportunity for learning outside the traditional classroom, as the students were placed in real situations requiring independence, responsibility, and critical thinking. This practical approach led to increased self-confidence, better orientation in a professional environment, as well as the development of personal soft skills useful for teamwork.
Free time and weekends were devoted to discovering the cultural richness of Italy. The students visited emblematic cities such as Venice, Verona, Bologna, Parma, Milan, and Modena. Among the most memorable experiences was the visit to the Enzo Ferrari house museum and the Ferrari Museum in the nearby Italian town of Maranello, where the students of the National Commercial High School – Plovdiv came into contact with the world of innovation, high technology, and the power of the brand.
For the students, this mobility was not just an internship, but a true life experience. They returned with a broader horizon of opportunities for professional realization in an international environment. At the end of the mobility, each of them received a Europass certificate certifying the acquired competences and experience, but the most valuable result remains their readiness to face the real challenges of the modern business world – with confidence, knowledge, and inspiration.
The internship in Reggio Emilia proved that when education is combined with real experience and an international environment, the result is more motivated, better prepared, and more confident young people. This is an investment not only in their future, but also in the development of more adequate and modern education.
For yet another year and in yet another country, students of the National Commercial High School – Plovdiv worthily represented Bulgaria to a European standard.
