Students from the National Trade High School in Plovdiv participated in first aid training organized by the Student Council together with volunteers from the Youth Red Cross. The initiative is part of the school's traditional thematic series aimed at developing basic skills in young people for responding to critical situations.
Three medical students also joined the training, who together with the volunteers demonstrated techniques for stopping bleeding, applying bandages, and immobilization for various types of fractures. Special attention was also paid to the fact that medication should not be given to injured persons or actions should not be taken beyond the competence of trained medical professionals.
The students watched the demonstrations with great interest and actively participated in the practical exercises. They asked questions, sought clarifications, and discussed possible situations in which they could find themselves as witnesses or first responders.
The training is part of NTG Plovdiv's efforts to prepare young people not only academically but also practically – for real situations in which a quick and adequate response can save a human life.
