At an official ceremony at the University of Insurance and Finance (UIF), the Annual Awards for Economics Education in Secondary Schools for 2025 were presented. The event has been organized for the third consecutive year in collaboration with the Union of Bulgarian Teachers and the National Association of Economics Teachers.
Among the distinguished this year shines the name of Elif Shakir from 12th grade, class "E", at the National Trade High School – Plovdiv. She was awarded the prestigious "Student of the Year" distinction – a well-deserved recognition of her consistency, knowledge, and outstanding results in the field of economics.
The competition took place from October 13, 2025 to January 31, 2026, and the top winners received a 100% scholarship for the first year of bachelor's programs at UIF, as well as plaques and certificates.
Elif was accompanied by Yordanka Arabadzhiyska, teacher of economics disciplines at NTG.
The school's principal Nikolay Mitev congratulated the talented student on her distinguished achievement and wished her even greater success.
