What do you need to do? 👉 Submit Declaration Form 7 to the National Revenue Agency (for the occurrence of an obligation to pay health insurance contributions). 👉 Pay the contributions for the months from July until the start of your studies as a university student. What is the amount of the monthly contribution? At the moment it is 22.03 euros (March 2026). Before you pay, check here: the current amount or in the health insurance calculator. When is the contribution made? By the 25th day of the following month (by 25 August you must declare and pay your health insurance contributions for July 2026 yourself). Where? 👉 at an office of the revenue agency 👉 by post with return receipt 👉 through the NRA e-services portal using a PIC*: submission payment Important❗️ More than three unpaid contributions for the last three years lead to interruption of health insurance rights and suspension of access to free health services provided by the National Health Insurance Fund. Statutory interest is charged on overdue contributions. For those admitted to a university abroad. If you will be a student abroad, you must provide a document certifying your studies abroad. Otherwise, your health insurance rights will be interrupted. The documents may be submitted personally or by an authorized representative, and the power of attorney does not need to be notarized, as follows: 👉 at an NRA office; 👉 through a licensed postal operator with return receipt; 👉 to the official electronic addresses of the NRA structures with a qualified electronic signature; 👉 through the Secure Electronic Delivery System using a PIC If you will be a part-time student, you must pay your health insurance contributions yourself.
