Teachers from NTG with international experience under the “Erasmus+” programme in Portugal

In November, a team of teachers from our school took part in a mobility under the “Erasmus+” programme, project 2025–BG01-KA121-SCH-000316398

Teachers from NTG with international experience under the “Erasmus+” programme in Portugal

The visit took place at the Portuguese school ESAG in the city of Porto, where our teachers took part in activities in the format of Job Shadowing – observing the work of colleagues in a real classroom environment.

Over the course of one week, the participants met with the school management, toured the building and attended lessons in English, Spanish and technology. The hosts presented the specifics of the Portuguese educational system and organized a meeting with a representative of the parents’ association, during which important topics were discussed such as parents’ involvement in school life and their cooperation with teachers.

A particularly inspiring moment was the meeting with Fátima Taveira – teacher and head librarian, who familiarized the guests with the activities of the school library and steered the conversation towards reading as a core value of contemporary education.

During the visit, teachers Maria Grozeva, Bonka Velinova and Lyubomir Trifonov had the opportunity to observe project-based learning, exchange ideas and discuss how innovative methods can be adapted to the Bulgarian educational system. They were introduced to different teaching styles, effective classroom management strategies and approaches for engaging students.

In addition to the educational activities, the programme included participation in seminars and cultural events, which contributed to deeper intercultural understanding and opened up new professional horizons.

Participation in this Erasmus+ project enriched the teaching experience of the teachers and helped strengthen international cooperation in education.
