They carried out an interdisciplinary eco project dedicated to the topic of fast fashion and the damage it causes to the environment.
The initiative combined English language learning and information technology, giving the students the opportunity to apply their skills in different fields in practice. In the process of working, they used their English language competences, created attractive posters, and developed websites dedicated to environmental problems and sustainable consumption.
The project is an example of the successful application of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), in which students acquire new knowledge simultaneously through language and the content of the учебен material.
As a final stage of their work, the eighth-grade students arranged an exhibition of their original posters in the corridor on the second floor. Every visitor can take a closer look at their ideas, and through the QR code on the first poster, they can also view the website created by the students.
The project was organized and led by the teachers of English and information technology, Bonka Velinova and Maria Grozeva, who inspired the students to work with thought for the future and the protection of nature.
